Y’all: Micha and Cara are BACK.
We’re back, admiring Micha’s bangs and my swanky new earrings – and the questions and conversation and perhaps a song or two abound, all in five minutes and 25 seconds or less. And today, we ask the question that is seemingly forever on my mind: How do we introduce our children to the real Jesus, to the non-white, non-cheesy man that He actually was and is?
Because too often, in evangelical culture in particular, an incorrect picture of Jesus is presented top-down, often to the youngest of children – and I, for one, don’t want my son thinking that that’s really who Christ is.
So we’re asking the real Jesus to please stand up …in a way. And here’s how and why and where we’re starting.
So, what about you? Does this topic matter to you, and what were you presented as a child? Does it matter to the next generation, or am I just off my brie-filled, ivory rocker?0
