Week: 35 weeks!! Bam.
Size: He’s my little honeydew (which admittedly I like better than cantaloupes. Just saying).
Name: Little Mocha Cappuccino, as neighbor Mark calls him.
Gender: Little Man Baby
Maternity Clothes: This morning I was fairly convinced for about 16 minutes that I’d already outgrown a new maternity dress I’d bought a couple weeks ago. It just wasn’t fitting right up top – was this how it looked on Saturday at the wedding, but I just hadn’t realized it? Did my milk all of the sudden come in, making me grow leaps and bounds? What was it? Oh, the dress was on backwards. Oops.
Food Cravings: I think I could live on ice chips alone. (Okay, and rotisserie chicken).
Currently reading: Secrets of the Baby Whisperer; Wisdom Distilled From the Daily – the latter is a great book on the Benedictine movement. Check it out if you’re into that kind of thing!
Most interesting fact: I’m loving the words of wisdom from little miss honey, the baby whisperer (who brings you into her circle of love by calling you honey and darling and dear, all with a faint British accent). The foundation of parenting is respecting and then getting to know your baby; so, the first time you bring the baby home, give them a tour of the house.
Feeling: Like today’s nap was fabulous. I think I’m growing in this area of my life.
Missing: not needing to interrupt meetings, movies, dinners, etc., with – yet another – bathroom break.
Anticipating: listening to my new hypno-breathing tapes from Erin friend; seeing the maternity pictures that Andi friend graciously took for us today; coach James making me do my daily squats and exercises; pre-natal yoga down in Burlingame. Bring it!
And now I’m off to eat a burger in honor of the great day of grilling – how’d you spend YOUR Memorial Day weekend?0
