Day 5: plain white mugs, oink-tified!
My pre-James set of dishes was a beautifully simple and plain white gift of a set. And while they’re still perfect in many ways, I couldn’t help but recreate the white mugs into pig snouts underneath.
White mugs +
Acrylic pink and black paints (clearance at Michael’s – 25 cents apiece)+
A fine paintbrush ($3.04 at Joann’s)
They’re currently drying for an hour before popping them into the oven to further glaze (instead of waiting the restless 21 days). Want to know what I followed as far as painting onto ceramics? Click here.
Otherwise, I’m stoked to serve a bit of Miss Piggy to unsuspecting guests. Also, they’re certainly not perfect, as I did them all by hand, but whimsical enough for our kitchen.
