A couple of months ago, I received an invitation to start blogging at Patheos, which is “the premier online destination to engage in the global dialogue about religion and spirituality, and to explore and experience the world’s beliefs.” Patheos hosts a number of different bloggers of all different religions, and along with a new crew of diverse thinkers, creatives and writers, I’m delighted to also be a storyteller on the new General Christian channel.
I’m now over there every Tuesday and Friday, telling stories, introducing you to different writers (and their books), and learning to color outside the lines – which is perhaps the most exciting part of it all.
And every time I write, I’m thinking about what it means to color outside the lines.
What does it mean to color outside the lines of ideas of race and religion, faith and culture? What does it mean to challenge the norms inside our souls, to rewire the way we think and move and have our being – to question why we believe what we believe and why we say what we say.
This has been a big part of my journey over the last decade especially …and it’s something I’d love to explore alongside you.
This website will still be here, directing you to my speaking schedule, published articles and other relevant information. But the biggest change you’ll soon experience is that when you click on the “blog” button, you’ll head directly to my Patheos site.
Some of you have already started receiving articles from Patheos in your inbox. I apologize for not letting you know ahead of time that you’d start seeing an abundance of stories from me, but I do hope you’ll continue to join me on the journey.
Questions? Let me know. Otherwise, head over to Patheos and join me!
