If you haven’t noticed, there’s a theme in these here parts – a theme of hopeful resistance. A theme of holding on to hope, even when troubles inside and outside our world feel too big and too large. A theme of not necessarily being rebels, but certainly of resisting ideas and notions and powers that be, especially (for those who call themselves Christians) when they do not align with the ways and teachings of Jesus.
So, this last Sunday, I got to talk about it. We talk about it a whole lot on the Shalom in the City podcast, but this time I affixed a Janet Jackson microphone to my head and got to talk about it all by myself.
I’d love for you to check out my words from Pangea Church. I’d love for you to see whether Mark 6:30-44 reminds you of hopeful resistance, too. And if you think you church might be a good fit for my words, I’d love to explore speaking to your community.

However it happens, let’s enter into hopeful resistance together.
So, what does hopeful resistance mean to you? Also, if you think your church might be a good fit for my words, would you consider putting in a good word?0
